Dry Shampoo

Today on Kelly's post she talked about Dry Shampoo and it sparked my interest.

For those of you who don’t know, dry shampoo is a powder, usually in a spray can, that absorbs oil in your hair and leaves a fresh scent. It gets rid of greasy “second day” hair, adds volume, and makes hair look and smell fresh and clean, minus the need for water.

Has anyone ever tried it? I am very interested in finding out. I have to wash my hair everyday. I always have. {unless I keep it in a ponytail...then I'm fine} I have always been so jealous of BOTH of my sisters who wash their hair every 2-3 days. Ugh! If you use this stuff...PLEASE let me know if you love it or not. What brand do you like best? Does it REALLY make your hair look the same as if you just washed it? So curious...

I took the liberty of surfing the net to get some reviews. Lucky for us, they give Ratings and Reviews! :)

  1. Hi Katie~

I used a freebie..Not sure on brand but I didn't like it. I really think brand makes a BIG difference with this product. I've heard Bumble&Bumble makes a MEAN dry shampoo and by mean, I mean good:) Cute blog!!

    Have a great week,
    Katie

  2. I was an everyday washer until I discovered dry shampoo a little over a year ago. I was using something from the beauty supply but I switched to Tresemme (sp?) dry shampoo. I love it!

  3. I have used Bumble and Bumble's dry shampoo in the past. I really really like the product and not having to was daily. The shape is colored in shades so it doesn't make your hair white, so if you spray it directly on your scalp it colors your scalp. It rinses right out, you just have to be careful. Have you tried looking at dry shampoo on soap.com?

  5. Hi Katie!
So in the Lauren Conrad Style book (don't judge - I do own this ; ) it says that your hair will just sort of catch on to what you do and produce the right amount of oil. It takes a bit but if you just start washing every other day, your hair will self adjust. I tried this and I am LOVING having extra time on the mornings that are wash free : D I use the Oscar Blandi dry shampoo on these days - I have the tiny one and so far it's lasted me months. Hope this helps! Keep us updated!
