So the good news is that I have my board and get to start playing with the software and borrowing flip charts :) Feel free to send me anything math related!!!
The bad news is...
I think this is soooo ugly how its just placed on top of my chalkboard. I didn't have any free space on the walls so I had to put it there...but UGH! I don't know if you can tell, but there is a good 5-6 inch "breezeway" in-between the chalkboard a P-Board. Eye sore for reals. So blogger friends...any suggestions on how to make this area cute? I'm normally pretty good with decorating but this time I just can't get past the eye sore to think straight. HELP!!!!

Hi Katie!
ReplyDeleteThey covered my white board with my PBoard!
I have used pockets charts on my "remaining space."
Since it is chalkboard, can you cover it with some great paper, and then use pocket charts over that? (Since anything you put on that paper can't be easily removed or manipulated.)
In my room, each of the "side boards" is not particularly visible from the other side of the room, so I can't put something we all need to see. Maybe bucket fillers? Or jobs? Groups?
Love the board. Hate the installation.

At least you can get to the cabling and serial number of your board if you ever need to :)
ReplyDeleteMy Smartboard doesn't stick out like your's, but I have that fake greenery around the top of mine and it really looks good. Just a thought.
ReplyDeleteMine is the same way... I teach all subject not just math in 6th so on one side I have all my obejectives in sheet protectors and on the other side is much smaller and I use it for behavior incentives and tallys. Mine does not stick out as much as yours does. You could frame it some how with cardboard and make it look like a picture frame or "tv" or soemthing...hope this helps
